What an Understanding Einstein session can look like

Sessions adapt to the student's learning plan, but the sequence remains practical and purposeful. A session may move through these five stages.

  1. Begin with a physical question

    The educator introduces a motion, energy or real-world observation connected to the student’s current priority.

  2. Make a prediction

    The student uses current understanding to predict what may happen and explains the reasoning behind it.

  3. Test the idea

    A demonstration, model or practical activity makes the physical relationship visible and provides evidence.

  4. Analyse the result

    The student compares the observation with the prediction and explains the result using appropriate physics ideas.

  5. Review what comes next

    The educator records what is becoming secure and identifies the next physics idea or reasoning skill to strengthen.
