What happens during the initial biology skills review?
The review gives Prep Up and the parent a clearer picture of how the child currently understands living systems and reasons from observation. It is used to choose a useful starting point, not to label the student.
The expected review length is confirmed when booking because it depends on the learner's age and starting point.

What an Under the Microscope session can look like
Sessions adapt to the student's learning plan, but the sequence remains practical and purposeful. A session may move through these five stages.
Begin with a living question
The educator introduces a specimen, image or biological question connected to the student’s current priority.
Observe carefully
The student identifies visible features, records observations and separates evidence from assumption.
Investigate a process
A practical activity, model or comparison helps the student examine how a living system works.
Explain the evidence
The student connects observations to a biological idea and refines the explanation through direct feedback.
Review what comes next
The educator records what is becoming secure and identifies the next biology idea or inquiry skill to strengthen.

Students can explore cells, genetics, human body systems, ecology, evolution, adaptation and biological processes. The balance depends on the student’s starting point.
How many students attend each session?
Sessions are limited to a maximum of two students per educator, allowing time for direct guidance and questions.
Does Under the Microscope follow one fixed sequence?
