Building chemistry foundations
For students developing confidence with particles, elements, compounds and the language used to describe chemical change.
Atoms and Beyond is a chemistry enrichment programme for children and teenagers in Dubai. Through practical investigations, real-life applications and groups of no more than two students, learners explore substances, reactions and scientific reasoning.

Atoms and Beyond helps students make sense of chemistry through practical investigation, clear explanation and connections to the substances and changes around them.
Students can begin with different levels of chemistry knowledge and practical confidence. These are not fixed levels: the initial review helps us decide where the emphasis should begin.
For students developing confidence with particles, elements, compounds and the language used to describe chemical change.
For students who understand more clearly when they can predict, observe and discuss a practical investigation.
For students ready to compare results, explain patterns and use evidence to support a scientific conclusion.
The review gives Prep Up and the parent a clearer picture of how the child currently understands chemical ideas and reasons from evidence. It is used to choose a useful starting point, not to label the student.
The expected review length is confirmed when booking because it depends on the learner's age and starting point.

Understanding particles, atoms, elements and how matter is organised at a very small scale.
Exploring why atoms combine and how bonding influences the properties of substances.
Recognising patterns among elements and using their position to reason about behaviour.
Investigating acidity, alkalinity, indicators and neutralisation in familiar contexts.
Observing how substances change, identifying evidence and representing what has happened clearly.
Exploring why reactions release or absorb energy and how these changes appear in practical situations.
Sessions adapt to the student's learning plan, but the sequence remains practical and purposeful. A session may move through these five stages.
The educator introduces a substance, reaction or real-life observation connected to the student’s current priority.
The student uses current understanding to make a reasoned prediction and explain the thinking behind it.
A practical activity, model or demonstration makes the chemistry visible and gives the student evidence to examine.
The student identifies patterns, describes the change and links the result back to the chemical idea.
The educator records what is becoming secure and identifies the next concept or investigation skill to develop.
The programme begins with the child’s current chemistry understanding, then develops through investigation, focused explanation and regular review.
We identify which chemistry ideas feel secure and where explanation, observation or reasoning needs attention.
The starting point is translated into clear chemistry and scientific-thinking priorities suited to the student’s needs.
With no more than two students per educator, there is time for investigation, questions and direct guidance.
We review what has become clearer, identify the next chemistry priority and adjust the plan when needed.
Prep Up keeps parents informed about what their child understands more confidently, which chemistry or investigation skills still need attention and what they will work on next.

Straightforward answers about the starting point, chemistry areas, practical sessions and progress.
Atoms and Beyond is designed for learners who are curious about substances, reactions and the chemistry of everyday life. An initial review helps us confirm the most suitable starting point.
The review helps us understand the student’s current chemistry knowledge, scientific vocabulary, practical reasoning and ability to explain evidence. We use this information to decide what should receive attention first.
Students can explore atomic structure, bonding, the periodic table, acids and bases, chemical reactions and energy changes. The balance depends on the student’s starting point.
Sessions are limited to a maximum of two students per educator, allowing time for direct guidance and questions.
No. Chemistry ideas are connected throughout the programme, but the emphasis and sequence are shaped by the student’s starting point and progress.
Prep Up explains which chemistry ideas have become clearer, which investigation or reasoning skills still need attention and what the student will work on next.
Tell us which ideas feel familiar and where your child needs more confidence. We’ll confirm the appropriate next step, branch, current availability and fees.
